At Our Vet we do it all, we provide pet parents with as much internal medical treatment as possible, including general consultations, diagnostics and radiology mainly conducted inhouse, routine procedures and checks (including dentals, vaccinations and micro - chipping) through to advanced surgeries of a more complex nature.

Due to demand and growth Our Vet Macgregor we have an opportunity for a Vet Nurse to join our team, working across a rotating 75 per fortnight roster. This team are actively supporting the pets they are entrusted to care for, pet parents and each other.

Each day is fulfilling.

The success of our clinics is largely placed in the hands of our professional nursing team, who make sure everything runs like clock-work, and who approach each day with the perfect balance of diligence and care.

At reception, our nurses have engaged customers before they have approached the front desk, warmly inviting them with a smile and genuine enthusiasm to help. This warmth comes through over the phone as they handle enquiries, triage cases and deal with any state of distress a pet parent may feel. Our nurses are invaluable in instilling trust with the pet parents, having them confidently reassured that their loved ones are safe in our care. Efficient in time management and problem solving the nurses navigate our booking systems to ensure the appropriate amount of time is allocated for a visit so that each pet is properly cared for.

Within the clinical space, nurses are actively involved in all aspects of ward care, support within surgeries, pathology and radiology using IDEXX. We will also upskill and empower the nursing team to take histories & TPR, consultations, medication, and dentals.

In your experience you have a sound understanding of pre to post surgery preparation, monitoring anaesthesia during surgery and recovery, admission to discharge processes (with administration of medication). You will also have assisted with taking samples for pathology and positioning pets for radiology tests.

While technical skills are important, we care for who you are too. We value maturity and sensibility, high work ethic that you and others can rely on and a conscientious approach towards all your tasks. Someone that can face challenges with confidence and clarity, despite the busier times while never compromising standard of care. We are about integrity, honesty and being authentic.

The benefits of this opportunity.

We understand why vet nurses became nurses and we aim to ensure you have that sense of fulfillment within your role. To feel recognised for your contribution will not be overlooked within our teams, as well as:
