- Above award salary and employee benefits
- Supportive team and culture
Despite the uncertain times we face, OurVet is experiencing continued growth in 2020. We are enhancing our product range, extended our online click & collect service, with many more exciting projects in progress.
OurVet Cranbourne is a busy clinic with a supportive and helpful team, who are committed to their pets and their pet parents.
Within this general small animal practice, you will have the opportunity to consolidate your years of veterinary experience in the management of routine procedures and consultations and refine your surgical skills in the areas of soft tissue and orthopaedic, should you be inclined. These services are supported by our in-house laboratory, digital imaging, a number of consultation and surgical rooms and VIN.
As an Associate Vet within this business, you are backed by a team of nurses, Associate Vet and Lead Vet. Each clinic is also supported by a highly skilled Regional Manager with extensive years of veterinary experience. On this occasion, your Regional has 30 years of veterinary experience, having also managed his own clinic for many years.
Known for his exemplary medical and surgical skills, our Regional Manager seeks to support the continuous care of our pets by retaining as far as possible the work ups, treatments and surgeries being delivered by you and the team. This has proven invaluable in offering further personalised training in undertaking surgeries that involve advanced skills. Between your Lead Vet and Regional Manager there will be no shortage of learning and exposure to fascinating surgeries.
Situated in our Best Friends Pet SuperCentre is one of the largest waiting rooms in the country. This offers you additional opportunity to learn of the veterinary care of birds, aquatics and small animals. You are surrounded by a team of skilled pet carers who share your passion and dedication to pet care. The collaborative Store Manager, retail and grooming team are available to share their knowledge, experience and skills in their respective areas.
Committed to professional development and education, you will have access to a comprehensive induction program offering the essentials in clinic protocols and procedures, development workshops, an extensive library of certified online training modules (with credits available to meet CE requirements), and invitations to industry events and conferences.
Committed to promoting work - life balance, you will be rostered ordinary hours with no on-call or overtime required. Weekends are rotated across the veterinary team.
