At Our Vet.

Our Vet has an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join our team. Joining our Lead Vet, two associate vets and a team of four nurses in the thriving clinic will provide you with an opportunity to contribute to the exemplary standards of veterinary care this clinic has become renown for.

With an innovative approach to veterinary care, for the last 10 years, we have operated a network of general small animal (and exotics) practices with the total wellbeing of our community's pets firmly in mind. We need only refer to our successful Complete Care™ or award - winning Health & Wellness range as testament of our focus on preventative medicine. This holistic approach to pet care is also evident and supported by our unique positioning within the Best Friends Pet Supercentre, that ensures our customers have the convenience of access to services, premium products and the latest in pet care in one location.

The Our Vet clinics provide customers with an extensive offering of services, from general consultations, access to all forms of diagnostics, routine procedures and checks (including dentals, vaccinations and micro - chipping) to complex surgery. All housed and provided in the one clinic.

Each day is fulfilling.

The success of our clinics is largely placed in the hands of our professional nursing team, who make sure everything runs like clock-work, and who approach each day with the perfect balance of diligence and care.

At reception, you will bring your extensive experience in engaging customers to the fore in person and over the phone. Interacting with pet parents with warmth and empathy you are regarded for your ability to create a sense of home away from home, putting their minds at ease knowing their beloved are in good care. Efficient in time management and your problem solving you navigate customer queries and book appointments with the appropriate amount of time to ensure each pet is properly cared for.

Within the clinical space you have been in a similar role and have solid experience, understanding the various aspects of a busy vet clinic. Your familiarity with it all, will ensure you seamlessly integrate yourself where needed in consultations (taking TPR and histories), pre-through to post surgery preparation, monitoring and recovery, and discharge (with administration of medication). You will know how to assist with taking samples for pathology and the use of medical equipment to help the Vet diagnose and treat the condition.

Your skills are supported further by your natural maturity, sensible approach, high work ethic and professionalism. You face challenges with confidence and clarity, ensuring despite the busier times our high standards of care are never compromised.

As someone who is passionate about vet nursing, you will feel a sense of fulfillment in the difference you make. You are the vet's "right hand", a support for your peer nurses and trusted advisor for our clients. You feel rewarded knowing your contributions are at the core of the clinic's ability to run smoothly and successfully.

The benefits of this opportunity.
