The Maribyrnong store supports the business and Support Centre, as the hub of where initiatives are often trialled before release to the network.

Be at the forefront of veterinary leadership.

We currently are seeking a Lead Vet to manage, shape and develop this central clinic. .

As the Lead Vet, you will be supported by this collaborative and efficient nurse team who will have everything ready for you ahead of time, making your consultations and surgeries a seamless pursuit.

Within the veterinary space, you will apply your previous experience delivering on the essential aspects of a small animals GP practice. Familiar with client consultations, you will navigate the conversation with confidence and credibility making recommendations on the best course of treatment, whilst empathising with each customer's personal circumstances. You will comfortably handle routine procedures (such as dentals, vaccinations and micro - chipping) in both standard and advanced surgeries (castrates, spays through to more skilfully advanced surgeries). Your medical knowledge will enable you to target the diagnoses efficiently using modern microscopic, imaging and pathological equipment and processes; all housed and provided internally.

Beyond the clinic, you will be thrive on developing your team of nurses and associate vets, identifying opportunities to support their continued education and skill within their respective roles. Similarly, you will manage the clinic's performance and discuss this with your leadership peers, as you share insights, experiences and innovations. Your natural perceptiveness with people and pets, maturity, sensible approach, high work ethic and professionalism will complement your success as a Lead. You face challenges with confidence and clarity, ensuring despite the busier times our high standards of care are never compromised.

The remuneration is above award and as a lead you are entitled to an attainable bonus. In the interest of work - life balance you will not be required to do overtime or on-call, and weekends are rotated across the team.
